What do you say when a book reviewer suspects that one of your characters is mentally retarded? (when he’s not)
Check out this review of SICK from Yecheilyah Ysrayl on The PBS Blog.
(Psst… SICK, a psychological suspense, is free today and tomorrow. Get your copy here.)
How can you not love a book that is mentally and physically twisted.
Good luck Christa.
That’s a fantastic review! It is funny what reviews say. Most of mine think it is a book on creative writing and overcoming writer’s block! Whatever. Congratulations on SICK and I wish you mega monster sales Christa!
In reading SICK, I never assumed John is retarded; he is manipulative and narcissistic! The reviewer also wrote “Diagnosed with Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura, a complicated blood disorder, Susan is forced to take care of her ailing husband …” but Susan isn’t the one who has this disease. Interesting how readers interpret things the author never wrote.
