There are many gorgeous places to hike in the highlands of Chiriqui near Volcán Barú. One of the easiest and most rewarding hikes is called The Pipeline hike, which runs along a water line through the cloud forest to a hidden waterfall. It takes less than a few hours to go in and out, and is relatively easy, but there is much to see! My husband and I like to go for a quick bit of fresh air and exercise when we don’t want to commit to something long and strenuous. I’d like to share a few bits from our last excursion. Enjoy!

I loved hiking on St Johns Virgin Island, trails do not have waterfalls and little creeks, but they lead you to the most beautiful secluded white sand beaches with crystal clear water. You may also run into wild donkeys.
I always wanted to hike the Camino trail in Spain. Then some one i know just did it. Not impressed, a lot of trail is black top, with traffic, commercial and monotonousness scenery.
I love the tranquilly, the beauty, and being in nature.
Plan your hiking bucket list hike now. it you wait you may not be able to physically do it any more.

Wild donkeys. How wonderful! And so true. I better get going before the knees give out.
Since I can’t travel very far lately, I’m going to focus on hiking in the Sun Valley area. I suppose Idaho is a pretty great place to live when it comes to hiking, and I finally bought a map of the local foothills after living there for years. I’ve hiked in a ton of national parks, but have somehow neglected a huge portion of my own back yard.
This looks like many places in my beloved Oregon…Hike on WoJo! You always seem so happy where you live, like home should be!

Isn’t it funny how that works? I never went hiking when I lived in the US, but I had a very physical job back then. Now I’m stuck at the desk all day. Hiking really is the best way for writers and editors to get away from the computer screen and allow the mind to switch modes for awhile. I hope you share some pictures!
